Nach 5 Monaten in New York, frage ich mich immer wieder, ob ich hier auch wirklich alles richtig verstehe. Bedeutet Nein auch Nein; und Ja РJa? Viel versprechen und wenig halten geh̦rt hier (vielleicht) zum guten Ton, oder?
Kennt vielleicht jemand einen Guide oder eine Ãœbersetzung von Deutsch – NewYork’isch/Amerikanisch? … ein normales Wörterbuch beantwortet diese Frage leider nicht.
Immerhin gibts einen kleinen Anfang. Nach langer Suche habe ich einen Artikel in der brand eins wieder gefunden, der zumindest ein paar kulturelle Unterschiede erklärt/beschreibt.

One shot (almost) each day when I left home. 517 shots so far – during about 2 years. I started to do this project to see how all the graffiti tags are going to changing over time. Finally many more things have changed: broken light, notes on the door, door opened, door closed, garbage/news on the stairs… and you can also see when I got my new camera.
